The Powerware 9315 is a highly reliable and flexible 3-phase UPS. Available in single modules from 200 kVA to 750 kVA, the Powerware 9315 can be paralleled for both redundancy and capacity using patented Powerware Hot SyncTM Technology, for systems up to 3324 kW.
More than just the workhorse for data centers, facilities and network solutions, the Powerware 9315 UPS uses intelligent communications and parallel configurations for maximum uptime and availability. The Powerware 9315 provides high efficiency operation, resulting in lower operating costs, less heat generation, cooler UPS components, and ultimately, higher reliability. High operating efficiency and superior cooling design allow the UPS to operate reliably under extreme environmental conditions.
Features and Benefits:
- Double-conversion online technology protects the critical load from all power variations on the input
- DC Expert Monitors and maintains battery health; provides state-of-charge and dynamically updates battery time remaining information
- Network access optional adapters provide LAN connectivity and SNMP compatibility
- Remote Notify for the UPS initiates outcall for user-selected events
- eNotify and Remote Monitoring option provides critical alerts, notification and monthly reports detailing the ongoing health of the UPS and batteries. Service is enabled with the use of a Web/SNMP X-Slot card and an Eaton Powerware® UPS Service Contract
- Intelligent input filter provides superior generator interface and additional isolation between input and output. Mitigates the damaging effects of harmonics, automatically turns itself off when conditions dictate, such as when the power source switches from utility to auxiliary generator power. Because it automatically configures itself, and turns itself on/off, you can be assured that your critical systems are protected, no matter what anomaly comes their way
- Intelligent design reduces component and wiring count significantly reduces single point-of-failure
- Monitor panel provides single-button controls to easily access data about UPS status
- Intelligent controls with DSP (Digital Signal Processing) provides more pristine output signal
- True PWM technology delivers high speed while DSP enables IGBTs to work at their highest capacity, increasing system reliability and ensuring perfect power on the output
- Powerware Hot-Sync is a patented paralleling technology that requires no communication between modules, eliminating a system-level single point-of-failure; available for both redundant and capacity systems.
Note 1: Includes one year of 7x24 corrective maintenance, one year of 7x24 remote monitoring service, annual performance check & Power Protection Audit, 7x24 technical support Powerware Hot Sync is a paralleling system that reduces the risks of traditional UPS systems by eliminating connections that can fail and shut down a critical load. Each UPS module operates independently of other modules to synchronize and support the load. Powerware Hot Sync permits the UPS to sample the output power over 3,000 times per second, adjusting and synchronizing accordingly. This unique approach to paralleling provides redundancy and capacity capability with system availability of 99.99 percent or greater. -Powerware Hot Sync Redundant This two-module configuration allows maintenance to be performed on both modules and the parallel cabinet without an external maintenance bypass and without removing the critical load from conditioned power. All Powerware 9315 models above 225 kVA can be paralleled for redundancy. -Powerware Hot Sync Capacity This configuration can accommodate up to eight modules for larger, more critical applications. Superior monitoring and highly automated controls make this system as easy to operate as a single-module system. All models above 200 kVA can be paralleled for capacity, providing a flexible platform for growth.
DC Expert: Monitoring battery life is one of the most challenging aspects of UPS ownership. DC Expert is a built-in battery monitoring system that helps administrators and managers meet the challenges they face. The system provides accurate information on run time and battery health, allowing organizations to avoid load losses due to unexpected battery failure. While competitive battery monitoring systems usually estimate run time with an +/- 20 percent fluctuation in accuracy, DC Expert run time information is accurate within +/- 3 percent. Battery run time is displayed on a large LCD panel located on the front of the system.
Outcall Paging /Remote Notify: The Remote Notify system enhances proactive power management, enabling the Powerware 9315 to automatically call for help if power or equipment problems occur. Remote Notify is an entry-level notification system in which the Powerware 9315 is connected to a phone line via an internal modem. Remote Notify's outbound and inbound call capabilities save valuable time and money by directly notifying a pager or personal computer. This alerts the appropriate network manager or administrator and, in many cases, a problem can be diagnosed and solved without visiting the site.
The Outcall Paging feature allows the Powerware 9315 to call as many as two telephone numbers during an emergency. The number of outcalls per event is programmable and the delay time between outcalls is also programmable.
Software. The strong integration of software with Powerware UPS hardware provides additional power protection services for end users.
